Is it Preferable to Create Mini Sites or Authority Sites?

When deciding whether to build minisites or authority sites, you really have to consider your own preferences. When it comes to these two kinds of sites, it's best if you don't make broad, general statements about them. Some people, of course, have strong feelings about this one way or the other. Yet if you can look at both of these models objectively, you may learn something. The more open-minded you are, the more options you have and the more money you can make. Let's look at some of the factors you should consider regarding mini sites and authority sites.
Some people like mini sites because they think it's easier to make money with them more quickly. This strategy can be effective. Yet, to think this way all the time can limit your possibilities in the long run. You could subdivide a niche into much smaller categories, each based on a few keywords. Each one of these smaller niches could be made into a mini site. If you chose your keywords well, you could get high rankings for most of them. Don't forget, though, that Google is not very fond of this strategy. Internet website marketing and search optimization are not done on a hope and a prayer, it is a technology. Avoiding a number of the blunders displayed listed here will certainly enable your corporation in moving forward and attaining the serps result for any keyword phrase you dream of from baseball to reading glasses.
As you can probably figure out, authority sites are larger, more demanding projects to undertake than mini sites. How you feel about this will depend on your personality, as well as how much time you have available. People who enjoy constant changes often prefer mini sites. Mini sites don't take long to build, and once you have the hang of it, you can do it in less than an hour. With authority sites, you have a slow, gradual project. One way to look at it, however, is like many different mini sites put together.
With either model, you can keep adding fresh content.
There are so many more ways to make money with an authority site. If you are getting a lot of traffic, then you can monetize it with advertising space that you sell. Much of your success with that model depends on different things. The market and traffic volume will pretty much set the terms for your profitability. On the other hand, selling ad space is not the only way to make money.
Overall, it doesn't make much sense to ask whether mini sites or authority sites are superior. The fact is, each has its own qualities and they serve different purposes. While there are some areas where they overlap, but there are even more dissimilarities.
What it all comes down to, then, is which will serve your needs better? You also have to consider your goals when it comes to your website. Mini sites can be laser targeted and quickly built, while authority sites give you a chance to build a long term business.
